LOL. Isn't it just "funny" how the body-mind-spirit connection works? I think I understand what you say, so congrats, I guess. LOL
When a man has ED there is nothing funny about it. The desire and drive are there but no response from body parts. It is not only frustrating but it is also degrading. Tried many differnet medications with absolutly no positive results. Waste of money. Tried the pump as well with very little satisfaction. Maybe some people see the humor in this but I'm sorry, There is nothing funny about it. In a way it rips the feeling of masculinity right out of one and then you feel like a worthless shell. This is a sensitive subject for many men and I am sure we are tired of getting taken advantage of from those so called miricle cures and the embarrasment when we can not perform because of one or several medical conditions. Nothing funny about that at all. I know there are many men reading these posts but are somewhat ashamed to post themselves. Belive me brother, your not alone
Dear Kwawegen,
No one is saying it is funny. My b/f and I have been having issues with what I assume is ED for over a year. It's hard on both parties. Makes me feel that I am not attractive enough for him, even though he constantly assures me it is not me he also has not really taken any steps asside from Viagra to help the situation. He doesn't even refill the Viagra anymore. If he truly wanted to I would think he would pull out all stops to find a solution, if it didn't work fine, but at least try :(
Hello Kasey. Using medications like Viagra are often not effective which is understandable because the original design was as a heart medication. First and foremost and this is very important. When your boyfried tells you that you are very desirable please accept that as a fact. For us it is frustrating when we are not able to perform and it comes to a point that men almost give up. Having ED is almost like loosing an appendage that we count on. There are a lot of alternatives to the medication and it is depandent upon the person on how well it works. Some of these are ver mild and suttle. I have stuided this condition with several other doctors and we have and are trying the alternatives with a fair deal of success. I would be more than happy to share them with the two of you if you like however in an open forum it may not be approiate but here are a few things to think about. Many times during rest a male can get an errection without any external stimulation. This is very common and natural. The point being if this is happening then we can already conclude that a good part of the physical anotomy is still in good working order. From there we can take one route of treatment. If this is not the case another direction should be concidered. I am not saying that there is a magic cure but what I am saying is there are alternative treatment options. If you would like to know more I would be more than happy to discuss them with the two of you. If your boyfriend is embarrased to discuss this (understandable) I can pass it on to you. Remember there are many aspects to this condition and if we approcah them by the cause and effect method we can overcome. Keep in mind that there are some cases where damage has happened and resolution can only be done with surgery.
Hello Kasey. Re reading your post I want to reassure you that it is NOT you. Please belive that. The reason he may stop the medication is out of frustration. I have no doubt that he desires you much more than he may even show. Guys do that belive me and I'm sure you have seen that as well. The biggest percentage of us hold things inside more than we should.
Thank you Kwawegen, I understand what you are saying. I have been doing research into ED. I try very hard to be patient and understanding, yet at the same time, he has tried one approach only, I feel he would want to try other methods if it were important to him. Also, not to be blunt but let's faceit, he could take lengths to satisfy me even with the ED.
